Craft cider, made with traditional methods and heirloom apple varieties, is a deliciously historic beverage that’s making a remarkable comeback in the Pacific Northwest. Created just over a year ago, the Northwest Cider Association currently boasts 17 member cideries spread across the region. The 2nd annual Cider Maker’s Dinner offers a remarkable opportunity to taste many of their beverages, while learning about the cider process from orchard to glass. Arcade Lights Redux
Friday, April 20, 2012 from 6:30-10:30 p.m., the Pike Place Market is excited to host the next Arcade Lights – artisan food, craft beer and wine stroll. We would like to invite you to attend this extraordinary celebration of local food, drink and entertainment located in the historic North Arcade of the Pike Place Market.
Advanced tickets available soon for $25.00 each (check back here for details). Each ticket is good for ten wooden tokens (each good for a taste of beer, a sip of wine or a bite of food) and one official Arcade Lights keepsake drinking glass. Experience a bit of what each artisanal purveyor has to offer. Mix and match, taste and graze, and truly “experience something new in old Seattle.”
In addition to celebrating artisanal food and drink, the event will raise money for the Market Foundation. The Market Foundation was established in 1982 to support the Market's human service agencies for low-income and elderly residents of downtown Seattle -- Pike Market Child Care & Preschool, Pike Market Medical Clinic, Pike Market Senior Center, and the Downtown Food Bank.

Join us at Suncadia, as part of their Harvest Festival there will be a wonderful 5-6 course pairing dinner at Suncadia. This new and unique dinner and features Apples, a product for which Washington is famous. The Cidermaster and the Owner of Tieton Cider Works will be in attendance at this event to talk about the fine art of cider making, the types of apples being used and the pairings presented.
This is also the first fine dinner to be served in the Log Cabin at the historic Nelson Dairy Farm at Suncadia.

Discover the delicious diversity of Pacific Northwest craft hard ciders at the Northwest Cider Association's first annual Summer Cider Day in Port Townsend (WA) on Saturday July 9th from 11 AM to 7 PM.
Located at beautiful Fort Worden State Park, featuring 10 plus local cidermakers, at least 30 varieties of regional ciders and a tent of imported ciders, “Summer Cider Day” offers the experienced cider enthusiast as well as the newly cider curious a chance to sample a complete range of cider styles and flavors. Come enjoy a day in the park as you talk with your local cidermakers, taste cheeses, enjoy a bit of live music and celebrate the fermented apple in its many fine forms.

Cider Summit NW Expands to Portland
Diverse Gathering of Artisanal Ciders Comes to Emerging South Waterfront Neighborhood
SBS Imports and the Seattle Beer Collective are pleased to announce the expansion of their successful Cider Summit NW Festival to Portland, OR. The inaugural Portland event will be on Saturday, June 11, 2011 from 11am-7pm at Elizabeth Caruthers Park in the emerging South Waterfront neighborhood along the Willamette River.
The owners and cidermakers will be on hand to inform and guide guests through the samplings which will be available in 3-ounce and 6-ounce portions. Each featured cider is made from 100% pressed apples (or pears) and is made without concentrates or other additives. In addition to the superb range of ciders, the event will feature food from SE Portland's Ya Hala Lebanese Cuisine, ongoing demonstrations of apple pressing courtesy of Bushwhacker and Ryan's Juice, and non-alcoholic beverages from Maletis Beverage. The Portland Aerial Tram will be offering 2-for-1 rides to event attendees and Cider Summit NW encourages use of the Portland Streetcar to the event.

Washington Brewers Festival is the biggest and one of the longest running of the six beer tasting events presented by the Washington Beer Commission.

Four cideries will join the more than 60 breweries that will be on hand to pour more than 200 craft brews in this annual pilgrimage of 15,000 to Saint Edward State Park in Kenmore.
Washington Beer is recognized everywhere as being high in quality and taste thanks to the energy and creativity of the craft brewers and abundance of fresh ingredients available right here in the evergreen state. Cider is a natural fit at this event!
Established in July 2007 the Washington Beer Commission represents all 145 craft breweries in the state with a mission is to ensure that more beer enjoyed in Washington is made by its own craft brewers.
